You get that? It doesn't have to.Not all fast food is the same, and there are certainly ways how you can enjoy fast-food and eating healthy. the secret is to choose from the healthy fast food: grilled instead of fried foods, vegetables and low-calorie beverages.

Here are some healthy fast food tips:

Citizen meals

If you feel like having a hamburger, can you calories by going for a regular internal hamburger instead of a large double or triple significantly reduce. Also a small portion of the chips instead of a large order, and water instead of Coke. Skip of cheese and mayonnaise, or decide on one of the two.

Another option for a healthy hamburger meal to salad instead of chips with your beef hamburger or choose a vegetarian hamburger.

An excellent way of reducing calories here it's just removing the skin from chicken fillet. Alternately, take the drumsticks that contain less fat. Add a salad, but be savings with high calorie sauces

Sandwiches are another great option of healthy fast food meals.Choose regular size ones with vegetables, lean meat and low-fat cheese.Replace the mayonnaise with low fat dressing or mustard. also try whole wheat bread that are healthier and more.

6 Negative effects of eating Fast Food

1. Fast food has a very high energy density. Approximately 65 percent higher than a typical diet and twice as high as recommended healthy food that makes us more than we otherwise would eat. Energy density refers to the amount of calories in that an item of food in relation to the weight. Foods with a high energy density confuse the brain's appetite control systems, which are based solely on portion size.

2. The British researchers of the Medical Research Council human nutrition Center and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have determined that repeated eat at McDonald's or burger King, KFC, or people are more likely to gain weight and become obese. This is because fast-food a lot more calories than traditional dishes, but also more likely to undermine of normal appetite control systems.

3. by eating a Big Mac and fries, consumes the body almost twice as many calories as you would if you were the same weight of ate pasta and salad. Fast Food restaurants feeding the obesity epidemic by people to eat more calories than they need through continuous advertising.

4. from McDonald 's, KFC, burger King and menu items using nutritional data of the fast-food restaurants-websites, found that when we eat high energy density, reducing the portion size so that we get a lot more calories than we need. Our current society has a weak innate ability to recognize of foods with a high energy density. Food intake shall be assessed by the size of the area, but a fast-food meal contains much more calories than a comparable size portion of a healthy meal. The conclusion is that we are all being fooled into eating too much food.

5. people get fat eating regularly portions, but since the food has a high energy density, people gain weight. In evolutionary terms, is the human appetite designed for low-energy density foods. In other parts of the world where these foods still the dietary Staples, obesity almost non-existent.Our bodies were never designed to deal with the high energy dense foods that are in the West. This is an important reason why fast food to contribute to the large increase in obesity.

6. Another fact is that fast food people's risk of clogged arteries, which can lead to heart attacks can accelerate. Researchers of the Veterans Administration Medical Center in San Francisco have shown that a certain type of fat, called oxidized fat, can accelerate the build-up of plaque in the arteries. And many types of fast-food such as pizza and hamburgers, French fries are loaded with oxidized fat. The conclusion is fast food meals are high in saturated fat and low quality carbohydrates, white bread and a lot of soda. our bodies need fibre and more healthy types of fats. Fast-food represents a diet that is the opposite of what is recommended for a healthy body.

Mining the Fast Food-jungle

We all know that fast food, for the most part, really not that good for you, it is usually very low in nutrients and very high in calories, trans fat and hydrogenated oils.

So, when you're on the run and there is no other choice than to eat at a fast food joint, but you're trying to stay healthy or sticking to your weight loss plan, what do you do?

Well, for starters, most fast food places now healthier options so you can stay on track better than you are accustomed to.

For example, maybe as a healthier option than that hamburger that fish or chicken sandwich looks, but wait a minute. Is that fish or fried chicken patty raw and deep? Or is it grilled? If it is a deep fried version then it more than likely more calories and "bad fats" option in the hamburger. However, if the chicken or fish grilled (and Skinless) you will do the right thing. order, it is a good option! It even healthier by removing the top half of the bun for eating Less refined flour the. in your meal is equivalent to less empty calories to sabotage your health or weight-loss goals.

Or, if you can get a grilled chicken or fish wrap instead of a bun (try for a whole wheat wrap, instead of a white flower version) you will probably wind up with a meal that is usually not much bread, vegetables and some lean meat.Right on!

If you need that beef burger, trying to get one that is heavy on lettuce, tomatoes, onion and gherkin and light on the high calorie things such as sauces, cheese and bacon. And again, remove the upper half of the bun and you're already eating healthier. If you choose to spices, mustard or even ketchup instead of mayonnaise or "special signature sauce". Mayo and special sauce are usually quite high in calories and bad fats.

You can even try out the children's menu. Fast-food places usually make their meals far too big for one adult anyway, so you can find maybe the kiddie sizes you meet without overstuffing you with calories.

Regarding side dishes, your best to stay away from the deep fried items such as French fries, ONION rings and ' chicken nuggets ' to do.Anything deep fried is definitely wild calorie and will even the best efforts to keep it healthy or lower in calories only sabotage.

How about a salad? but watch out, the creamy sauces are also quite high in calories and hydrogenated oils. instead, try something like vinaigrette or even of olive oil & vinegar, if it is available.

As a matter of fact, when it comes to salads, can usually you some kind of ' salad with lean, grilled meat and nuts ' option if an entr e in the fast-food restaurants these days. so, why not skip the Hamburger, wrap or sandwich completely and have one of these yummy and nutritious salads instead?

And by all means stay away drinks such as soft drinks, milkshakes and. they are very calorie, and when it comes to soft drinks, nothing but empty calories completely devoid of any nutrition. If you have a drink, water will always be the best choice, but coffee and tea are also better options than milkshakes or soft drink. just add large amounts of sugar and creamer or you are just back in the calories that you just shrugged by choosing these options.

So next time you're stuck eating in a fast food restaurant because there is simply no other choice (or majority rules with your friends or colleagues), stick with these healthier options so that you are not forced to sabotage your health or weight-loss goals.

Fast Food Calorie Tips: eat a healthy meal at chain restaurants

We Americans have gained a lot of weight in the last 20 years. And at the same time we are eating out in restaurants more often. According to surveys, we spend almost half of our food dollars outside the House.

Selecting a healthy meal never been more important. Know which menu items are low calorie or high fat may not always be clear.Salad dressings, for example, perhaps a lot more calories than you might think. even with the few following simple tips can get a handle on belt busting dishes and instead remain slim and trim.

The first and most important consideration is portion size. Avoid getting the next larger steak, super-sizing, or adding a combo dish that is more food than you want. Please bear in mind that your eyes bigger than your stomach. People tend to make more if they are hungry. When you're in a restaurant runs, you're probably starved. Order the smallest portion that you can with life; later if you want to get even more food anymore. Never buy just because it's a good deal.Save your bargain hunting for clothing stores. Although I am all for saving money, eat more than you need not be a good idea. However, if you want to share or a discount meal, dessert, aperitif with a friend (see below), this would be smart.Be careful when you select a salad dressing. This can range from 80 to 300 calories without too much difference appears. Ask the person waiting to give you details. Keep an eye out for condiments, dips, sauces and spreads. This includes tasty extras such as ONION dip, tartar sauce, mayonnaise, syrup, jelly and gravy. This can add a large number of calories to a good meal. For example, suggests that McDonald's restaurant you to one of their burgers without the Special Sauce save 100 calories. Please consider sharing. You should never feel shy or self-conscious. Most restaurants will raise no objection and the waiter will not watch you cross-eyed. This is an easy way to cut calories and portion size by 50%.Don't get talked in ordering a dessert or an aperitif that you do not want to eat, although it is a good deal. Waiters and waitresses are often trained to more food to suggest. When you full, don't do it. Get detailed nutrition information from the restaurant. The company might be the handouts, for example to you to make intelligent choices to help. Most of the major chain restaurants have also nutrition facts and calculators online. Most Web addresses will be very simple as the company name dot com; for example, is the address for the Wendy's http://www.wendys.com chain. Most have also printer friendly pages on the Web that you can print out and take with you the next time. Fast Food all you have time for? There are many healthy choice

Once the fearsome reputation of single-handedly introduced the obesity epidemic in this country, blockage of the arteries in their wake, fast-food restaurants have opened their eyes to what (some of) the public will and quite successful attempts to change their menus to offer healthier choices. I'll take you through a few of these restaurants offer some healthy (read: lower fat, lower calorie, and hopefully less sodium) choices, some less-than-smart ones, and reveal a few surprises.

Arby 's: their regular roast beef sandwich has 350 calories and 16 grams of fat. That's a nice light meal, similar to a frozen ' diet ' dinner, especially when you consider the 950 mg sodium. The French Dip sandwich has only 440 calories, 18 grams of fat, and (oops) 1680 milligrams of sodium. and for those of you who are shooting for about 2,000 calories per day, feel free to add an order of 2 potato cakes for only 250 extra calories to get around a meal that comes in under 700 calories.

Now for the not-so-good choices that may be quite surprising: the market fresh roast beef and Swiss contains 810 calories, 42 grams of fat and 1780 milligrams of sodium. The roast chicken caesar, 820 calories and 38 grams of fat with 2160 milligrams sodium (that is all the sodium content that has a healthy diet in a whole day).

My surprise for this restaurant falls under the category of "not-so-good": the French dressing honey has 290 calories per package!

Burger King: good ideas include the BK broiler chickens without mayo, which only 390 calories and 8 grams of fat (albeit 1010 mg sodium) and the whopper junior without mayo, only 330 calories and 14 grams of fat, and only 470 mg sodium. A small order of French fries just 230 calories can nicely around a meal for a total of nearly 600 calories.

Not-so-good ideas where you thought you could have done well include the chicken Club, which in on 740 calories, 44 grams of fat (almost your daily allowance!) and 1530 miligrams sodium; and the big fish of BK with 710 calories, 38 grams of fat and 1200 mg sodium. You might expect is not a smart choice is the Whopper with cheese, and that is 780 calories, 47 grams of fat and 1390 milligrams of sodium.

A few surprises here are a good choice--the BBQ sauce that just 20 calories per package (a nice substitute for when you wisely the mayo from your camera roll left) and a not-so-good choice, the great frozen Coke, a purely beverage 460 calories to your meal without having to even satisfy your appetite (gulp!)

McDonald 's: this restaurant has formed into a nutrition professionals to give much healthy meal options. Their salads (chef, garden and grilled chicken caesar) all have less than 150 calories. However, if you add you get croutons another 50 calories, and if you're at all dressing than the fat free herb dressing (only 50 calories) you will get more calories from the dressing (ranging from 130 to 170 per packet) than of the salad. A chicken mcgrill without the mayo comes in at only 340 calories and 7 grams of fat, and a quarter Pounder only 430 calories, but 21 grams of fat. a little advertised choice in this restaurant is sliced apples--a fantastic option designed for children instead of French fries. You might have a hamburger (280 calories) and a salad with the fat free dressing, one side of a dessert apples and even on this site for under 500 calories! Their vanilla reduced fat ice cream offers only 150 calories.

I can't finish without mentioning the subject of the Taco Bell, both because of its popularity and also the large low-calorie menu items can be found here. beef or chicken tacos (including the soft ones) average only 200 calories per piece and the gorditas (with the exception of those with "crunch" in the name) 360 calories or less.Watch out for salads which Bowl with an edible;the bowl has more than 400 calories and 30 grams of fat!

Just a side note about the sodium content in most of these foods; It is partly for flavor, but also to avoid eating dry out as soon as the cooked and sitting under global warming lights added. it is very difficult to find a low sodium option at a fast food restaurant. But most people without high blood pressure, kidney or heart problems will be easily able to flush the sodium content from their bodies when they have a couple of glasses of water after meals drink.Up to 1,000 milligrams should at a meal not something to worry about.

And now, here's a great bit of ammunition to start your healthy eating plan; every fast-food restaurant will gladly hand over their nutritional information so you can see for yourself. most sites give access to this information online; some of them give out in their restaurant; sometimes it is even on their tray placemats! so take a look at what you and your choices for your next order compare.

Fast Food, slow death?

The all too familiar story: no time to Cook, children are late for soccer practice and of McDonald's is on the way. Because it is not more than a few minutes to shoot through the drive through do we take the fast-food stop. Or all too familiar story number 2: lunch break at work and I need to pick up my dry cleaning, filling a prescription, and take the car get gas and finding time to eat. Sure enough Taco Bell is on its way and they have a drive through as well. This real life situations play for us all, millions of us, every day. As time has become one of our most valuable commodity is the sacrifice that we often in our diet.

And does not necessarily have to be this way.By following a few healthy life practices still you can go to your favorite fast-food chain, and 30 years from now, to tell The key is knowing what to select from the pop-up menu and balance that the meal with the rest of the day food intake.

Choose your menu items with Care

Choose a main dish item that is low in fat.For example, when faced with the choice of a cheeseburger bacon or a regular hamburger, wins the regular hamburger every time. In the battle of the regular hamburger or the grilled chicken fillet sandwich chicken wins hands down. Why? Here is an example:

Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich has 360 calories, 7 grams of fat, and 0 trans fat. Compare that to the Wendy's Big Bacon Classic has 580 calories, 29 grams of fat and 1.5 grams of trans fat. Put the two option with a medium FRY and you have added another 440 calories and another 21 grams of fat. Choose, instead, the baked potato with sour cream and chives and you add 320 calories and 4 grams of fat-indeed a better choice.

Choose side salads and salad bar vegetables such as these provide additional vitamins and dietary fiber. Furthermore, they without fill to add many of the extra calories.Make sure to use low-fat or non-fat dressing, or, better yet, a simple vinaigrette dressing.More dietary fiber can be found in the choice of whole wheat or whole wheat rolls and buns.

If your sweet tooth kicks in have fresh fruit or frozen yogurt.Or go for the reduced fat ice cream versus shaking. Another example, this time from McDonald 's: 16 oz. Triple thick vanilla shake has 550 calories and 13 grams of fat. vanilla reduced Fat Ice Cream Cone has 150 calories and fat grams only 3.5. The lower calories alternative has been granted not so decadent, but it also does not clog your arteries will by increasing your intake of cholesterol and it will meet the sugar craving.

Watch your portion size

Portion control is also a key element in successful fast-food restaurants. Although many restaurants have terminated the super size trend, most parts just more than we need to consume. this large parts look like real value when they are viewed in the monetary sense but measured by means of their contribution to weight gain and its complications they are just not worth it.

Choose the smallest size possible, especially if you are experiencing burgers or fried foods.

Large or high fat objects share with someone else.

Eat half your order and take home the rest.Yes, I know that we are supposed to clean our plates, because there are children starve in China., at least that is what many mothers over the years have heard to say. the fact is that a member of the clean Plate Club you will also force the Fat Club, the Club of high cholesterol, and if you're really lucky the Heart Disease Club.

Please bear in mind these 3 key points

1. reduce total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol and sodium.
2. increasing the intake of whole grains
3. eat more fruit and vegetables

Fast food is one of the major innovations of the twentieth century. Here in the 21st century, we control how we use the unlimited access. to do this will require a balance between food and fuel who loves our human engine is running and toxic waste that will ultimately lead to shorten lifespan.

Diet on Fast Food-can it really works?

Recently, Taco Bell began ads touting their drive-thru-diet. The fast-food chain shares with us the before and after pictures of a customer named Christine, who claims to have lost 54 pounds. While Taco Bell tells us that these results are not typical, the question if one could weight at a fast food diet lose.

First, lets look at the menu that Taco Bell recommends. The Fresco Ranchero chicken Soft Taco, Taco Bell has according to nutrition information, only 4 grams of fat and 170 calories. Other menu items are the fresco grilled Steak Soft Taco and the Fresco Crunchy Taco. Both come in at under 170 calories with a relatively low fat content. as a small part of an overall plan of the diet, it would be with any of these items are likely to work.

One can not live only on Tacos, lets see what we can get at McDonald 's. The Premium Southwest salad has only 140 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. Don't get too excited, that is without the chicken or the dressing. Want to cheat and the Southwest Dressing, which will tack on another 100 calories. The lowest calorie salad choice is the salad. it just 20 calories and no fat. With the Low Fat balsamic vinaigrette with it will add only 40 calories.

McDonald's has some other low-calorie options.Honey mustard Snack Wrap with grilled chicken is 260 calories with 9 grams of fat. for a dessert, try the 7 oz. Fruit'n yogurt parfait. It has only 160 calories with 2 grams of fat. These menu items at McDonald's are probably the kinds of things you eat if you are already on a diet and you must eat at McDonald 's.

Wendy's has also a few posts in our fast-food diet. the mandarin oranges, while not enough for a full meal, has only 80 calories. A small Chile has approximately 190 calories and is very complete. Finally, the Homestyle chicken Go Wrap 310 calories and 15 grams of fat.

The idea of maintaining a healthy low-calorie diet and lose weight while eating in a fast-food setting works only if you are looking for some simple guide lines to follow.

Don't forget to check out the soda, shakes, hamburgers, French fries and most breakfast skip meals. These items have super high calorie counts.Check out the nutritional information on the salad dressing and other toppings. many times the dressing will erase any benefit that you gained by having a salad. Finally, get your food to go. This will prevent you from being tempted to cheat.

Life solely on a healthy fast food diet would prove to be very difficult for most people. The low calorie food choices are limited and you will be surrounded by many temptations. you'd probably be better off after a more traditional diet and having this fast food options when you are forced to eat with others at fast-food restaurants or as an occasional break from your normal diet.

Making the right Fast Food Choices

Every now and then, even with the best intentions, we are looking for a fast food restaurant for lunch or dinner. Perhaps a lack of time or a lack of planning responsible for forcing this on us. Maybe something came out of our control that makes us resort to this as a last-minute meal decision. Whatever the reason, you will be ordering your next meal by talking in a plastic clown from the comfort of your car window.

The problem with this is, you know that fast food is notorious for very high fat content and very high calorie count while at the same time, the very low in nutrition. Well, as luck would have it, there are some things that you can order from a few of the popular fast food places that what the healthier side. The most important thing is to stay away from the fat-laden side orders, such as French fries and shakes, and going with the roast and grilled items. here are some examples of the better fast food choices:

At burger king, go with the BK broiler chicken sandwich or the roasted chicken salad. Also not too bad the whopper, but it is absolutely necessary to order dry and without cheese and add your own ketchup. All the sauces on the whopper are where most of the extra fat and calories come from.

KFC, continue with the tender roast chicken and go with the skinless white meat. fried chicken everywhere should be avoided like the plague.

At McDonalds are grilled chicken deluxe and the grilled chicken salad the best choices.Since almost everything here is deep fried or baked, these are really your only good choices.

By metro you have a few good choices such as the Turkey Breast sub and the sweet onion teriyaki chicken sub. most everything in their "low fat" menu is good, but not add cheese or fattening of herbs as mayo and stick with the 6 inch ones.

Taco bell, its the grilled chicken burrito and the soft taco of grilled chicken good choices. One of the items made with grilled chicken are OK, just watch out for no additional manure sauces or baked items that can be used in the item.

At Wendy 's, the grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken salad are two very good choices. Here you can also give you a baked potato on the side but watch what you fill it with.

As a rule of thumb, always avoid something baked like French fries or ONION rings if these items a whopping 450 extra calories to your meal that usually add as much as more able than what their signature burgers suit.Items such as the milk shakes also come with almost as many calories as the signature burgers, so be careful not to give them also ordering your food always without the dressings, sauces, mayo or cheese. This only add unwanted fat calories to your object, you can always ask for non-fat dressings and condiments like ketchup and add them yourself, if you're eating.

All fast food is not completely off limits, even if you are making an effort to watch what you eat. just eat fast food an occasional thing and are aware of what you ordered from eating there. when in doubt, always go with fried or grilled chicken items, and unless you know they are good choices like salads or baked potato of most of the sides.

Don't fret about Fast Food

How often do you eat fast food? Once a week? Twice a week? What about every day? Personally I love of fast food and find it difficult to completely eliminate from my diet. I have learned to enjoy fast-food sparingly and not feel guilty about eating for every meal.

The Ultimate Cheeseburger with Bacon. Not say more. I'm starting to get excited when I collapse to the ride through and see the absolutely ridiculous look advertising that looks nothing like the real thing, that I'm satisfied with. I don't expect the employees in the event of a jack in the box to treat my hamburger as a chef in a fancy restaurant. I never order a meal because each chain completely rips you for a drink.Get a water instead. So I order and impatiently waiting for my delicious lunch.

The fact that you should extract or unbox it makes you feel like a kid on Christmas. After the wrapper comes out, I'm in the zone. The thought of ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise mixed seems awful, but somehow it works in the process of eating, you can see that the bold has actually eaten a hole in the wrapper that once the citizen, no worries. After all is said and done and your fully satisfied, do not forget to chew some tums or a shot of Pepto Bismol as a preventive measure.

American love fast food and that is a fact. Why else would one on every corner of every street from the McDonald's in America?

A quick guide to healthy Fast Food choices

With the tempting smiles of McDonald's "golden arches" and the addictive smell of Whoppers hit the air as you pass by burger King, healthy fast food choices probably the furthest out of your mind.

The dark cloud hanging over fast food restaurants is pretty overrated, because there are plenty of nutritious and fulfilling selections are fretting about. Equipped with the knowledge of how to make healthier choices at fast food restaurants is the key to get the most out of a dining option that is convenient, cheap and really fast.

Hamburger heaven

A single hamburger at a fast food restaurant is quite reasonable. The McDonald's plain ' ole hamburger with his signature onions contains 250 calories with a reasonably saturated fat count and decent dose of protein.

To cut back on the calories that is linked to a fast food Burger, you can eliminate some of the extras that increase the total fat content of the meal.

For example, waiving of the slice of cheese on a Wendy's Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe and save 40 calories. the mayonnaise takeoff to your burger calories by 25. want to save of carbohydrates and calories with respect to your selections of the healthy fast food? your hamburger on half-a-roll eat and save 60 calories. All in all, you can cut the 125-calorie yet enjoy the taste of bacon and juicy hamburger together with nutritious tomatoes and lettuce.

In addition, you can also smaller Burger choices, if a Whopper Jr. without mayo (290 calories) taste just as good as his cousin of 510-calorie.

Chicken Delight

With all the Crispy Chicken Sandwiches and chicken Nuggets lining of the fast-food strip, it's hard the spicy blend of seasonings that excite the tongue.

Again, the real reason that you are ordering a chicken sandwich is to enjoy the crispy coating, so why waste calories on the roll, which 120 calories of the 340-calorie sandwich? some people eat the chicken is completely without roll, while others only half.

At McDonald 's, the honey mustard Snack Wrap with grilled chicken is a sandwich offers the second lowest number of calories on the menu that contains 260.A four-part chicken Nuggets offers only 170 calories. to reduce the number of calories that is associated with the healthy fast food chicken choices, pay attention to your sauces, like a Creamy Ranch sauce 200 calories only runs.

Pizza, pizza

Scan the menus of popular chains, such as Pizza Hut, and you'll learn about healthy fast food choices, such as the thin-n-Crispy selections, which offers less bread and crust.

You create a healthier pizza meal, eliminate the meat toppings and tax on popular veggie creations, including onions, olives, peppers and jalapenos.

Pizza Hut also offers "Fit-n-Delicious" pizzas, where the diced red tomatoes, mushroom and jalapeno selection offers 150-calorie segments.

Extra healthy Fast Food

Often overlooked as a fast food restaurant, u-Bahn (underground) station is a great way to stick with a healthy meal plan. some of the best selections include tons of vegetables and lean chicken. My personal favorite is the 1/2 sub menu of the day, on honey oat bread, spicy mustard and loaded with every veggie instead. What an explosion of taste and it is so healthy.

On the whole, the continuous pressure to a healthier lifestyle encouraged numerous eateries to lower calorie food choices in the foreground. today include popular healthy fast food menu items the likes of chicken garden salads, Strawberry-Flavored applesauce, 2% milk, Bacon Ranch salad, Apple Dippers and fruit-n-yogurt parfait.

Decisions of the healthy fast food is not boring. make it an adventure in good eating. Bon appétit!

Fast food and Fat Food

There are two sides of same coin. You might've heard arguments on both sides with regard to healthy foods and fast foods. You may have asked yourself a time or another, are all fast food high fat foods? You can without worrying about your health binge on fast food? How can I eat fast food and still stay healthy?

The United States is the leading country when it comes to obesity. The country's top three in the world in terms of existing fast food chains. When you put two and two together, you get to the conclusion that the popularity of fast-food restaurants will affect the health of consumers.

McDonalds ', one of the famous fast-food chains in the world, a lawsuit in 2003 when parents of a teenage girl claimed that the fast-food restaurant responsible for their daughter's health problems is facing. Although the case was rejected, it began the battle of fast-food restaurants against health experts.

Obesity is not something to laugh. it can cause all sorts of complications such as diabetes mellitus type 2, arthritis, sleep apnea, and, of course, cardio-vascular diseases. Aside from that, you can be on the heavy side make a person the butt of jokes, which ultimately results in social exclusion and suicidal attempts. Sedentary lifestyle and overeating are the main reasons why there are people who are considered obese.

You must be familiar with the daily calorie intake. Your calorie intake is very depending on your weight and lifestyle. On average, declared health specialists that daily calorie intake for women 1200 calories is 1800 men. generally has a fast-food meal about 1,000 calories.

Most of the food offered by fast-food restaurants are fried or warmed in the microwave. These processes of food preparation take minimum time unlike home cooked meals. As a result, most fast-food products have high calories and are practically swimming in trans-fat.

If you already have this, then Yes, the fast-food is fatty foods. Health experts have reasons why they are against eating fast food products. On the other hand, it doesn't mean you should refrain from fast-food all the way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Fast-food restaurants were a hit because they food in minimum time, in good taste, and to a lesser price. So how do the two ends meet?

When health issues were raised, fast-food restaurants with possible solutions in order to create their menu appealing to health buffs. They added salads, fresh fruit and white meat to expand the selection of their consumers. Also be nutritional facts made available so that people have an idea how many calories are in their orders. These restaurants are doing their part, but why is it that they still be blamed?

It all boils down to you as a consumer. If you want to live a long life, you need to know when to stop eating fast food.Moderation is the key.You can not burgers and fries all the time. If you can't get away from fast food, check out the other side of the menu.Instead of a Big Mac, why not you order a regular hamburger? As a regular hamburger is not good enough for you, just avoid Add-ons such as cheese, bacon or mayonnaise sauce.Other add-ons can tasty without the fat such as onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mustard. Skip extra toppings to your pizza a segment of chocolate cake makes better although your mouthwash, a low-fat yoghurt or ice cream for dessert. Finally, don't forget about the upsize promo. it saves you from calories and save a few pennies too.

Balanced diet is quite elementary. as long as you know how to balance your intake, you're good to go. the next time you crave for some fast food, indulge yourself. Just to make it a point to the urge every day of the week.

The healthiest Fast Food options

Fast food has become a staple in the average American diet, and that's not a good thing. Obesity rates are at an all time high, and the fast food industry deserves a lot of the blame. Consider this: Americans are now spending over $140 billion on fast food each year! There are now over 25,000 fast food chains in the U.S. (an increase of more than 1,000% since 1970). Fast food restaurants spent $294 million on marketing messages aimed at children in 2007. A cheeseburger happy meal with fries and a Sprite at McDonalds has 640 calories and 24 grams of fat. This is over half of the total calories many children should be eating in a day!

Fast food restaurants are like any other company in that their goal is to increase profits in order to please shareholders. The best way to do this is to get people to buy more of their products and they're doing a good job of accomplishing this goal. The average serving size for burgers, fries, and sodas has more than tripled since the 1970's! The always-popular Whopper at Burger King has 670 calories and 39 grams of fat. Add a large order of fries with your order and another 500 calories, 28 grams of fat, and 6 grams of the artery-clogging trans fat. Throw in a large Coke and you add 290 more calories and 79 grams of sugar. The grand total for this "Value Meal?" 1460 calories and 67 grams of fat!

A study funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute found that those who ate at fast food restaurants more than twice per week compared to those who at there less than once a week had gained an extra ten pounds and had a two-fold greater increase in insulin resistance, a risk factor for type 2 diabetes. Considering the average American eats fast food an average of two times per week, it's not wonder 1 out of every 3 Americans now falls into the "obesity" category.

Despite all the shortcomings of fast food restaurants, there have been more and more additions of healthy menu options because of pressure from consumers, doctors, nutritionists, and public interest groups. Certain states have now required restaurants to post nutritional information, and this is a crucial step in educating people about what they're eating. To write to the legislators in your state about supporting menu labeling, click on the following link to the Center for Science in the Public Interest's website...it only takes a minute and could make a world of difference.

Before we take a look at some of the healthier fast food menu options, here are some tips for being more health-conscious at fast food restaurants:

1. Skip the soda - they're full of sugar and empty calories. A large soda can run over 300 calories and 80 grams of sugar - 2-3 days worth for someone trying to lose weight
2. Skip the fries - they're deep fried in unhealthy oils and often contain trans fats. See above - a large order of fries may contribute over 500 unnecessary calories to a meal. Order just the sandwich and get a side salad instead...your waistline will thank you later
3. Choose your salads wisely - check the nutrition label for the amount of fat, sugar, and sodium. Most fast food chicken is very high in sodium too. Check out the restaurants nutritional information beforehand
4. Stay away from burgers and "crispy" chicken options. Choose grilled chicken options instead
5. Watch out for $1 menus. Some of the worst foods culprits are here. Look for fruits, veggies, baked potato, or chili if they're available
6. Order your sandwich without the sauce. Mayo and other fat-filled sauces contribute a lot of extra calories and saturated fat
7. Choose whole grain bread options if possible

Here are some of the best fast food options at several different restaurants:

McDonalds:
McDonalds has made some progress in recent years, eliminating trans fats from their foods and increasing the amount of healthy options. Here are a few of their healthiest food options:

o Premium Grilled Chicken Sandwich: 420 calories, 10g fat, 2g saturated fat, 1190mg sodium
o Honey Mustard Grilled Snack Wrap: 260 calories, 9g fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 800mg sodium
o Chipotle BBQ Grilled Snack Wrap: 260 calories, 9g fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 830mg sodium
o Premium Asian Salad with Grilled Chicken: 300 calories, 10g fat, 1g saturated fat, 890mg sodium (Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing adds 90 calories, 2.5g fat, and 790mg sodium)
o Snack Size Fruit and Walnut Salad: 210 calories, 8g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 60mg sodium
o Egg McMuffin: 300 calories, 12g fat, 5g saturated fat, 820mg sodium (not healthy by normal standards but by far their healthiest breakfast sandwich)
o Fruit & Yogurt Parfait (with granola): 160 calories, 2g fat, 1g saturated fat, 21g sugar
o Apple Dippers: 35 calories, 0g fat
o Vanilla Reduced Fat Ice Cream Cone: 150 calories, 3.5g fat, 2g saturated fat, 18g sugar

McDonalds also has 1% low fat milk and chocolate milk, apple and orange juices, and nonfat latte and cappuccino options. All in all, they have taken steps to get healthier options on their menu, but still have some work to do.

Burger King:
Amazingly, as many fast food places are cutting out trans fats from their menus, Burger King still uses artery clogging trans fats in many of its' foods. They also offer a "Triple Whopper" sandwich that has over 1230 calories and 82 grams of fat, and have the audacity to market it as a "man's meal." BK does have a few halfway decent options on the menu that won't go directly to your waistline and I've listed them below.

o Tendergrill Chicken Sandwich (no mayo): 400 calories, 8g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 1090mg sodium
o BK Veggie Burger (no mayo, no cheese): 340 calories, 8g fat, 1g saturated fat, 1030mg sodium
o Side Garden Salad w/ Fat Free Ranch Dressing: 75 calories, 0g fat, 0g saturated fat, 740mg sodium (Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing adds 90 calories, 2.5g fat, and 790mg sodium)
o Tendergrill Chicken Garden Salad w/ Fat Free Ranch Dressing: 240 calories, 9g fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 1460mg sodium
o Ham Omelet Sandwich: 290 calories, 13g fat, 4.5g saturated fat, 870mg sodium (not healthy by normal standards but by far their healthiest breakfast sandwich)

Burger King doesn't have many healthy choices to choose from. They have been one of the last fast food chains to embrace healthy changes such as eliminating trans fats and offering healthy menu options. Look for another option whenever possible.

Taco Bell:
With the addition of the Al Fresco menu options (where you get a nice pico de gallo topping instead of cheese and fattening sauces), Taco Bell has made significant progress in offering more healthy menu options.

o Crunchy Taco: 150 calories, 8g fat, 2.5g saturated fat, 370mg sodium
o Spicy Chicken Soft Taco: 170 calories, 6g fat, 2g saturated fat, 580mg sodium
o Gordito Nacho Cheese - Chicken: 280 calories, 11g fat, 2g saturated fat, 790mg sodium
o Gordito Nacho Cheese - Beef: 270 calories, 12g fat, 2g saturated fat, 680mg sodium
o Grilled Steak Soft Taco: 160 calories, 4.5g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 550mg sodium
o Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco: 170 calories, 4g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 730mg sodium
o Bean Burrito: 350 calories, 9g fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 190mg sodium
o Cinnamon Twists: 170 calories, 7g fat, 0g saturated fat, 12g sugar

Taco Bell is an easy place to get yourself in trouble if you overindulge because many of their menu items are loaded with fat and sodium but if you stick to 2 or so items and order them Al Fresco, or minus the ranch sauces and cheese then this is actually a fairly healthy option (for fast food).

Subway:
Subway has made great strides in recent years to introduce healthier menu options. They offer several sandwiches with 6 grams of fat or less and you can load as many veggies as you want on top of them. Always choose wheat bread, no cheese, lots of veggies, and either honey mustard, red wine vinaigrette, sweet onion, vinegar, or light mayo if you prefer a sauce on your sub. Here are some of their healthiest choices (note: subs include wheat bread, no cheese or sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, pickles, and olives).

o Oven Roasted Chicken Breast: 310 calories, 5g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 830mg sodium
o Veggie Delight: 230 calories, 3g fat, 1g saturated fat, 500mg sodium
o Turkey Breast: 280 calories, 4.5g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 1000mg sodium
o Turkey Breast & Ham: 290 calories, 5g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 1210mg sodium
o Ham: 290 calories, 5g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 1260mg sodium
o Roast Beef: 290 calories, 5g fat, 2g saturated fat, 900mg sodium
o Subway Club: 320 calories, 6g fat, 2g saturated fat, 1290mg sodium
o Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki: 370 calories, 5g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 1200mg sodium

Subway has the most healthy menu options out of any fast food restaurant. They also have salads available with fat free Italian dressing, all of which are good options. The one thing that they could stand to improve upon is the high sodium content in a lot of their food. However, overall, I would rate Subway at the top of the list of healthiest fast food options.

Weight loss & Fast Food Drive Thrus-the worst of the worst

Fast Food drive-thru eat sabotages all good intentions:

The fact that almost everyone samples and often the food bought in a drive-thru dining as they drive prevents most people buying the lower calorie alternatives like wraps. salads, Chile or a baked potato because they are much more difficult to eat in a car, especially salads. This forces the client to the station in window to the higher calorie foods that lend themselves more to steal that can be eaten with their fingers. try to drive with a fork or spoon.

What could be easier and less exercise? You do not even need to get your car?

Its easy to two double Whoppers, two double fries and an apple pie from the anonymous person at the drive-thru, after all they could be for children in the back seat, home for the whole family, or more often than not eaten by the driver. (Calories in one serving: Double Whopper = 1020, 65 grams of fat, fries = 540, 25 grams of fat, Apple Pie = 340 calories, Grand total for the one meal = 1790 calories, and 104 grams of fat, all day food allowance for many children and teenagers.)

Best choices at fast food Restaurants to be found within the restaurant:

The secret, like eating at home or in restaurants are, is to make better choices of all available fast-food restaurants. The plans of the loss of the weight of the doctor of the view in 2010-lock fast food restaurants are watching their calories

Fast-food drive-ins hitting the trail of the diet along with the rest of the country. Seeing the writing on the wall, get even the fast-food restaurants their act together. No longer able to sit back and watch America's children get more and more weight, number of companies offer new low-calorie meals in 2010.

Here are some "rules of the road" to save hundreds of calories and fat grams as low as possible.

No cheese, grilled-not fried, water or diet drinks, wheat bread, mustard not mayo, low fat salad dressing on the side, no extra sauces.

Metro: The road is our usual favorite, subway Fresh Fit with their meals. Ordering a sub with sliced apples, yoghurt or baked chips of the meals with 450 calories or less end. For example, the Turkey Breast with sliced apples 315, with baked chips 410 and with lite yogurt 360 calories.Look for the lean meat buns, hold the Mayo and the oil. always choose a bottle of water or a zero calorie soft drinks. Metros sliced apples 35 calories are always a nice addition. It's been a good package.

Taco Bell: A reversal, this perennial favorite is joining the low calorie low fat crowd with their new test Drive Thur-diet. Test marketing has indicated interest in these products. Drive-Thru food is often limited because salads and other lower calorie foods difficult to eat in the car. People end up with products that they catch up with their fingers, one at a time. (Sounds like French Fries?)Their fresco menus contain tacos ranging from 150 to 180 calories, burritos of 330 to 340 calories. all 8 grams of fat or less and all can be eaten in the car. Few people will add rice or beans, the usual sides, because of the difficulty in consuming them on the run. A great choice for mothers with small children who have to eat in the car. There are no French Fries at Taco Bell.

Starbucks: Starbucks has always paid lip service to low calorie, low fat products while sales of some of the highest calorie and fat products available. Their trendy shops with Internet, Newspapers and music have served to draw attention away from their very high calorie products. Imagine a coffee drink for 500 or more calories!. Starbucks is now cue from the rest of the industry with their new Hot Panini sandwiches. All are less than 400 calories with between 4 to 6 grams of fat. This is a chicken Santa Fe Panini with chicken, cheese and sour cream, with a roasted tomato and mozzarella panini, a combination of foaccia bread and roasted tomatoes, spinach and mozzarella cheese. The line ends, it is my favorite ham and cheese on 370 calories and 4 grams of fat and the tuna melts at 340 calories and 4 grams of fat. All great choices. they will be a new vanilla Rooibos Full Leaf Tea as part of the company add transition to new Tazo full leaf tea and herbal infusions All Tazo Tea have zero calories. Starbucks will also introduce Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte and the skinny VanillaLatte, as part of the new menu. Both lattes are 90 calories for a high (12fl. oz.).A zero calories drinking, add some sliced fruit and you have a great lunch on the run.

Dunkin Donuts: How did that in our list of the new year resolutions? Well, they some attention with their wake-Up Wraps. The eggs into protein cuts the calories by more than 25%.The cover of the egg and cheese with whole eggs is 170 calories, change in the egg white wrap reduces calories 130. they are on the small side, so you can eat even two.

Not new, but the better choices in the big three hamburger joints:

McDonald's: salads are still the best bet with the Asian chicken salad on 290, the Caesar chicken on 220, but you must use the low fat dressing. Even the plain old hamburger is only 249 calories, while the grilled chicken sandwich 310 calories. You need a hand to replace the French fries, I suggest the Apple dippers with Carmel (105 cal) or fruit and yogurt parfait 140 calories. Add to These meals with a zero calorie drink you can leave with an entrance hall and side and spend as little as 350 calories

Burger King:Once again the salads are the lowest but you should look at the Add-ons, in particular the dressings. The Tender Grilled chicken breast sandwich is an acceptable 300 calories without mayo.A veggie burger is 340, even a Whopper Jr. is only 290 calories. It is the fries that really increase the calories may. There are fewer low calorie side choices here than almost all of the other restaurants, best choice seems to be the garden salad (140 calories) with Kens low fat dressing (40 calories.)Whole meal including Jr. Whopper, salad dressing, mustard and diet drink equal to about 470 calories. However, you need to be careful here because there are a lot of other very attractive choices that are much higher.

Wendy's.They have no new products for not announced early in January 2010. stick to the small Chile, just baked potatoes, Mandarin chicken salad (plain, low fat dressing) and the chicken wrap 310 calories.

When forced by ease, driving time, and price-Thur food, all these new products make good alternatives. don't forget the "rules of the road"-no mayo, sauces, cheese, fried foods, low fat dressing, no extra ad-on's to salads. looking forward to more of our fast-food restaurants.

Stay away from high Calorie Foods at fast food Restaurants

This is quite a challenge, but it is possible! You can enjoy your food quickly but watch your intake of calories.

The main "bad" calories are the fat calories.

There are good fats and bad fats. some are even evil fats which should in any case be avoided.

How do you know which ones are good for you?

You may know that heated fats not good in General. They make the materials that are bad linings in your blood vessels develop.

These linings are called cholesterol.

There are also two types of cholesterol. One is the proper type and a is the dangerous type. Naturally heated fat makes no good cholesterol. It makes it that you should avoid.

To talk about fast food and calorie rich foods can mean the same thing. Nowadays, there are many fast food that try to provide you with a healthy meal, so avoiding bad calories.

They serve you a fresh salad (which is quickly prepared and fiber rich raw vegetables and salads, maybe some salt, pepper and oil contains.) It may have been a seed oil, sunflower oil is also very healthy.Don't eat mayonnaise. You never know what it contains.

The bread in most fast food chains used gives you only empty calories. If you can avoid eating, do it.Just eat the hamburger and the salad. If you absolutely must, buy some bread in a bakery shop or in a supermarket where you can find different kinds of bread, possibly contain Brown that whole wheat flour. You can have a milkshake.Milk fat, but most shakes are made from less fat milk that give you only a few calories. you must stay away from milkshakes that contain artificial colours or flavours. If they contain fruit, it's fine.Fruit is almost never calorie rich and their calories are healthy and few.

The worst thing to eat in a fast-food, but also the most served his French fries. they can you really do a lot of damage. they are baked into continuous hot grease or oil which is overheated and therefore produces substances that are dangerous because they lead to the creation of cancer contributions.

So, if you cannot avoid to eat in a fast-food, be aware of what to stay away from: French fries. eat tapas instead. they do not have a large amount of calories and fat, but still contain some grain.

Eat the hamburger without cheese that is pure fat and usually not of good quality.

There is a certain choice in every fast-food chain. choose wisely, now that you know which foods to avoid when you can get some fresh fruit, do it. it helps to reduce the heavy impact of fat and calories.

Don't Let Fast Food Sabotage satisfied Senior Sex

Fast food is everywhere. Most of us eat not realizing what kind of impact it can have on senior love'n.

We all do. Even me. Stop by Wendy 's, McDonalds, Pizza Hut to grab a quick meal. You may be tired, in a hurry, don't want to Cook, give yourself a break or a treat. But, as you are eyeing the huge order boards, it's hard not to super size it, get some fries with your burger, or what the heck, it's a hard day, you deserve a milkshake to. we rarely go first for salads, and even then they may be saboteurs disguised by lettuce.

The photos can be tempting, but the reality of what's really in your order you a shock. Having regard to the activity levels and size, most seniors need between 1500 and 1750 calories per day to maintain a healthy body mass.(Of course really big boys need a little more, most women have a little less) Let's look at how some of the fast-food choices contribute to your total.

Many people stop at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. It's fast and tastes so good. If they really goo they forgo the donuts and go for the cheese omelet. Eggs are not that high in calories tell them yourself. But by the time the cheese and the oil that it is baked, you can easily to 690 calories, with much of fat. Of course you have coffee ... with cream? Add another 100 calories. With sugar, not so bad only 40 calories per spoon. okay, that second header looks so good, why not? It's just another 140 calories. (Total for breakfast 990 with two cups of coffee.)

So, you promise yourself you stick to salad for lunch and stop by Taco Bell, their salad which looks go well a has 960 calories, or two-thirds of a day of calorie assignment.Adding a small regular soda and you have another 100-150 calories Of McDonald's Chicken Salad comes in at about the same numbers. If you go for the shake, you can count on close to 1,200 calories at McDonalds.(Total for lunch 2.051-3,250 calories. total for the day 2.051-3,250)

Of course you'll stop by Starbucks for a large hot chocolate for an afternoon pick me up, and another 600 calories add to your total.(Total for the day water-3,850)

And you will go home to a full dinner, adding even more to your daily total.

Here's the deal, even if you big man with a 2,000 calories an assignment of the day, adding only 8% more on your daily intake, a measly 40 calories, you'll get £ 10 per year.Keep it up and add 10 pounds per annum. All of a measly 40 extra calories per day.

Keep up with fast food on a regular basis and pretty soon the servers at the outlet of your local fast food will greet you by name, car to your regular, you'll be buying larger clothes each season and your love life will be thrown out with the wrappers. obesity is one of the most important factors in it are not in a position even when you are ready.

This does not mean more quickly eat? no necessarily! just keep it as a treat not an everyday occurrence. The rewards for more healthy eating will more than make up feelings of deprivation.

How to avoid of unhealthy food to Fast Food Restaurants

When you're on a diet, you will be confronted with the times when you are unable to eat diet food that you prepared for yourself. Friends may ask you to grab a bite, or you have no time to take a full lunch hour. There are some better choices that you can to prevent unhealthy foods at fast-food restaurants.

Grilled get
Most fast-food restaurants offer grilled versions of their fried chicken offerings. getting grilled will save you an average of 200 calories per menu item.

Skip the Mayo
If your meal without mayonnaise questions, you will have saved 150 calories. Mustard and ketchup are excellent healthy substitutes for mayonnaise.

Use fewer dressing
Many of the offered at fast food restaurants in large servings come dressings. Even the low fat varieties are often more than you need. Pour half the dressing on a part of your salad dish and dip your fork in the dressing before every bite of the salad. You will be amazed at how little dressing that you really need. For low fat dressings saves this method, you must have at least 50 calories.

Attention to the calories
Just because something healthy sounds, does not mean that it is. For example, the Burger King's Veggie Burger 420 calories and 16 grams of fat. The healthy 7 grams of fiber in this meal will not compensate you for all that excess fat.A regular cheeseburger has the same amount of fat, but less calories. you can take a salad to recover the missing fiber and make you feel fuller for the same calories.
